The Sweet Taste of Success

Thoughts From the Coffee Table: Sometimes a lime is only a….Key Lime cheesecake.

I speak to people all over the world about Shocking their Potential, my strategy built on the letters in the word SHOCK. The O stands for “operate as if you are already there.”

Now, I don’t mean fake it until you make it. That concept bothers me. Faking equals inauthenticity.

When we are authentic, to ourselves and to others, we instill trust. We give people the opportunity to have meaningful interactions. We show truth.

Look around at those (people or businesses) that have already achieved what you are striving for. Watch how they operate to find those strategies that feel true to you, and that you can employ today to get you to that next level of success. In other words, find the strategies that match your authentic self and begin to add them to your daily routine.

You can emulate, but do not need to imitate. Take what you learn as a foundation and make them your own. Be confident in your individuality.

The Ario restaurant at the JW Marriott Marco Island, offers this delicious dessert.

At it’s core, a Key Lime Cheesecake. Sweet. Tart. Authentic.

It’s shell, a unique presentation. Unexpected. Fun. Inspiring.

Authentic and a delicious surprise. A perfect blend for success.
